It's #SparklingWineSunday and today I'm going with some bubbles by La Vieille Ferme aka as their Sparkling Blanc (sample). I discovered this fabulous French farm-sh table wine years ago and it's been one of my favorites ever since. The Famille Perrin makes the wine and is one of the leading producers in the Southern Rhône Valley of France.
For over 40 years La Vieille Ferme has been bringing yummy affordable wine for every day pairings. It's what I'd like to think of as a down low "sugar daddy in a glass". While the wines are affordable, they can be paired with bougie food and make you feel fancy. A few years ago they released their Sparkling Blanc, a blend of 90 % Chardonnay and 10 % Ugni Blanc. It gives good flirty bubbles on the palate with notes of fruit and brioche bread. The best part is a bottle only runs around $13.99. You can sip as is or throw in a little Chambord or St. Germain. I'm throwing in some violette liqueur and loving it. Great for sipping on Sunday! La Vielle Ferme are wines that you can open anytime and anywhere. Get them in!
