Did you know that grilling cheese is a big deal in Germany? They love it so much, it's not just popular during the summer months. It's a big hit during the winter months.
I had the pleasure of attending the launch soiree for Roguette Bonfire Grilling Cheeses. Made by century-old Bavarian cheese maker, Käserei Champignon, they introduced mild and creamy, and semi-soft marinated in herbs.
The cheese is made using pasteurized and rBST-free milk from cows that graze on the green grasses and alpine flowers in Bavaria, Germany.
The grill-able cheeses are quick and easy to use. It won't stick or melt on the grill. Put it on a burger or serve over a salad then you are good to go. BOOM!
It's National Oatmeal Cookie Day!
There's a restaurant in Harlem that's a French gem, Maison Harlem. I went there for the first time on Saturday and it won't be my last.
I loved hearing the people in the restaurant speak French. It made me feel like I was in Montréal. Food was yummy and they had a nice mix of French cocktails/spirits on the menu.

Yesterday I made a boozy hot chocolate with Dutch Chocolate Van Gogh Vodka. I'm at it again. Since I can't go to Italy bringing a touch of Italy to me. Today's hot chocolate situation will include Frangelico Liqueur and a little Nutella. The two will be bring in a hazelnut sensation to my cup.
In case you aren't familiar with Frangelico...the 300 year old libation is made with Tonda Gentile hazelnuts found in the region of Piedmont, Italy mixed with coffee, cocoa, and vanilla.
And I can't imagine you don't know about Nutella, the Italian hazelnut cocoa spread that you should put on anything and everything...maybe even yourself.
Even though it's a bit hard to travel right now, your palate can take you and your senses on a journey. Enjoy! Ciao.
Frangelico & Nutella Hot Chocolate
1. In a warm glass pour Frangelico liqueur and Nutella ( as desired)
2. Fill up with hot chocolate such as Jacques Torres.
3. Top up with whipped cream.
4. Garnish with a cherry (optional)
Glasses used for hot beverages should be heated so they are thoroughly warmed before serving.
Plating and Pairing:
It's no secret that I love me some pizza. I discovered an awesome pizza spot in the Bronx called the Kingsbridge Social Club. Their pies are so on point. Their meatballs are bomb as well.
I got the Wrecking Ball- pepperoni, onion, garlic, mozzarella, oregano, and san marzano tomatoes. I paired with the 2016 Chianti Classico Storia di Famiglia. It was the perfect pairing.
What's in your glass? Cheers to good food and wine!
Just spent a glorious night out with the Remy Martin squad at Sugar Monk in Harlem. A big shout out to Sugar Monk for their hospitality and incredible drinks! I love their libation based in Bruichladdich Scotch. Their cocktails are hand-crafted to perfection. Do know that it's for the grown and sexy.
It was so good to laugh and sip again in a sexy speakeasy Good times!
A sample of the Disaranno Velvet Cream Liqueur has come through to seduce my senses. It's smooth, sexy, and white...how I like some of my men. 😉
This velvety Italian liqueur has aromas of almonds, chocolate, and vanilla. It's wonderful simply over ice. If you are Disaranno fan, you will love it. If you aren't familiar with Disaranno, I have a feeling you will dig it as well. It's perfect for chilling and sipping. It's so smooth it will give you the feels. During the winter months add some to your coffee and it will rock your world.
Oh Disaranno, how I love thee, let me count the ways. What's in your glass? Cheers!
