Tonight’s pour is Unrated Xtra Cab, a bold Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon made with grapes from the Maipo, Maule, and Cachapoal valleys. Aged for 12 months in French oak, it brings ripe blackberry, dark plum, mocha, scented wood, and smooth, sweet tannins to the glass. At around $13–$23 a bottle, it tastes serious without requiring serious money—which leaves more room in the budget for snacks and questionable streaming decisions.

Rich, dark, seductive, and just a little dramatic, this Cabernet was practically made for a night of obsession, betrayal, revenge, and extremely poor judgment on Tubi. First up—and my number-one pairing—is Stepfather, starring Taye Diggs.

1. Stepfather — The must-watch pairing
Taye Diggs serves charm, menace, and deeply questionable family values. Like the wine, he appears smooth at first—but there’s darkness underneath.

2. Unrequited
A hotel maid falls for a very taken coworker, leading to desire, betrayal, and danger. The Cabernet’s ripe blackberry, plum, oak, and chocolate notes fit the film’s seductive-but-messy mood.

Pairing verdict: Full-bodied wine for full-bodied foolishness.

3 Twin
A woman fresh out of prison plots to replace her twin and steal her seemingly perfect life. Dark fruit, dark intentions—and twice the trouble.

Pairing verdict: One glass. Two sisters. Zero good decisions.

4. Kayla
Betrayal sends a scorned woman spiraling into obsession, stalking, revenge, and a twisted romance.

Pairing verdict: A spicy Cabernet for when “moving on” was apparently never an option.

5, The One Next Door
A mysterious new neighbor begins testing boundaries, loyalty, and everybody’s survival instincts.

Tipple verdict: Unrated Cabernet is bold, juicy, and much smoother than the men in tonight’s movies. 🍷
